Our new English unit

Recently Chloe brought in a letter she had received from Prince George. She had written to him wishing him luck when he started at school as she know how scary it can be, she was so excited when she got a reply and so were we. The children were so excited that they decided they wanted to write their own letters so at is exactly what we will do. In their homework book I have out a note about talking to the children about who they want to write to and if possible, find an address to put on a stamped envelope.
We are so excited about this and can't wait to start our letters in class so we can send them off.

Alien goo!

We love our PE lessons with Ben. Today we took part in a really fun warm up called Alien Goo. It's a bit like dodge ball but with cloth as a ball or the goo!

Team work!

We have been working on place value in class and this can be quite tricky but we have been working so well together that we are feeling much happier about it!

A request!

We would like to make Pudding Lane in our class. If you have any boxes at home, we would love it if you could bring them in.
Thanks

The Daily Mile

So every day for the last two weeks we have been getting outside and running or walking. We are working towards a mile and we don't think it will be long before we're there. Every day we are able to run a little bit further or a little bit faster and the way the children have encouraged one another has been incredible!

The story begins

We are being history detectives in year 2 and slowly putting together the story of the Great Fire of London. So far we know the houses made the fire spread quickly and that the fire started in the bakery inPudding Lane. We now have our own bakery in class and we are telling the story through our art display each week.

My favourite book

This is my favourite book. It's about football and it tells you how to play like a pro. I like it because Billy and Jez meet real footballers. I brought it in to show because I like reading.

A bit of a messy start!

We've had such a lovely start to our new term in Year 2. As you can see we spent our first day baking and painting. Pudding Lane is slowly being recreated in Year 2! Apologies if any of us came home a bit mucky but as you can see we had fun!
